during a thermo auricular therapy treatment?
Client lies comfortably on one side, head supported by a pillow. Candle is lit at one end and the other end is gently inserted into the outer ear- passage, it is held in place throughout the treatment. Once candle has burnt down to the required level it is removed and the treatment is repeated on the other ear.
The warmth from the candle softens any excess wax whilst creating a gentle vacuum effect, which draws the excess up into the candle. Examination of the contents on completion shows how effective the treatment has been.
